Fluorescent tube recycling
As a result of new legislation, as set out in the WEEE Directive (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment), all spent lighting is now banned from landfill sites and will have to be environmentally disposed of by recycling. Igrox have anticipated the consequences of this new legislation and have implemented a comprehensive collection and recycling programme for all types of spent lighting.
Igrox operates a nationwide collection program for small and large quantities of fluorescent tubes and bulbs. Igrox can supply Recycalite cartons, pallet boxes & containers for the safe storage of spent lighting from large tubes (5’- 8’) to smaller sodium bulbs. Simply fill the containers and then call Igrox to arrange a convenient collection date. For continual service a replacement container can be deposited when we collect. As a registered waste carrier Igrox will also sort out the legal requirement for a Waste Transfer Note.
The Igrox tube-recycling program minimises health and safety risks and the impact on the environment. Additionally it will assist in ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 certification.
Overall you will improve your site housekeeping, reduce landfill waste and demonstrate best environmental practice, while meeting all ‘duty of care’ and statutory requirements, in accordance with the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
